One simple rule: Wash. Dry. Oil.

- Wash: rinse with water and a soft brush. A little mild soap is fine if needed.
- Dry: place on the stove over medium heat until all water has evaporated and the surface is fully dry.
- Oil: lightly oil the surface after each wash and dry to prevent rust and to maintain seasoning.
Store in a cool, dry place.
